The GEN site has been designed to allow you quick access to a wealth of information covering all aspects of Business within Gloucestershire.

How do I find the different services that the site provides? Across the top of the GEN screen, you will see a number of tabs which offer links to the nine main areas of the site.
Site Areas
Events – The events area displays events organised by GEN, Business Link, Gloucestershire First, and all GEN members. Member’s Events can provide further details to their attendees only.
News – This area allows you to view members’ news articles and the latest news from the Gloucestershire Echo and Citizen. There is also a link to an opportunities area where members can post their collaboration and sponsorship opportunities.
Opportunities – Shows business opportunities submitted by members.
Interests – Members can choose a category which interests them and can then view all documents and web pages within the site which are relevant to that interest. In addition, this page gives members the opportunity to suggest another interest category under which new documents and web pages can be displayed.
Forums – Business topics and discussions submitted by GEN and any organisations who are members of GEN.
Resources – Within this area you can view case studies, publications, business support articles and information, including a range of services that local organisations offer to other businesses within the county. Additionally you can view past Q&A sessions. These are all categorised within their interests.
Training - The training area displays on going and scheduled training delivered by various members including GEN.
Directory – The directory allows you to view a list of GEN members, by either organisation, or by individual. Each organisation is able to update and expand their company profile to allow other GEN users to read more about what they and their business can offer to others. The directory can be searched using a number of methods, these include:
- Search by company name using the alphabet/number
- Search by company name using free text
- Search by user surname using free text
- Search by business category
GEN Conference – an up to date review of the GEN conference that takes place
Who Is A Member of GEN?

Why Should I become a Member of GEN?
As a GEN member you will have full access to all areas of the site. Off-line, a programme of events offers members networking and training opportunities. Members will receive a monthly newsletter and invitations to events throughout the county, which provide guests with an excellent platform for networking with industry colleagues and new customers.
